After years of planning, Triton finally set up its first solely owned manufacturing plant in Shanghai, China. The facility, Triton Shanghai Manufacturing Co., houses an array of manufacturing equipment such as CNC mills, numeric-control lathes, special lathes, drills, tapping machines, and other auxiliary equipment such as ultrasonic cleaner, tumbler and so on. It will function as a pilot plant for new project development and fast turn around for urgent orders. The site will also serve as inspection center and shipment consolidation center, so as to better control the quality of the parts made by Triton's various contract manufacturers. The facility is close to Pudong International Airport (PVG), as well as the Shanghai Port, China's second largest sea-port, providing a geographical advantage for exporting and importing. The area's rich manufacturing resources will also help Triton Shanghai to expand its manufacturing capabilities.
