Cold forming is a metalworking process that shapes metal at or near room temperature. It's also known as cold working or cold forging.

The process uses mechanical forces, like pressing, rolling, stamping, and bending, to change the shape of the metal. It is performed below the metal's recrystallization temperature. Cold forming can enhance the tensile strength of the material as well. The surface finishes of cold-formed parts is very smooth, as it matches the smooth condition and dimensions of the dies.
